veldhost runs a remote MCP server — the open standard AI assistants use to work with real systems. It signs in through your normal veldhost login, and the connection only gets the permissions you tick.

Agent permissions
Agents can propose. Only you can approve.
Other platforms ask the agent nicely to check with you first. Here the platform refuses until you do.
Scoped connections
Each connection carries only the scopes you granted — read, deploy, manage, DNS, data or billing. A tool outside them is not even listed.
Orders are proposals
An agent can price and propose a site, a mailbox or a plan change. Nothing is bought until you approve it in Manage, signed in as yourself.
Two steps for the risky ones
DNSSEC, destructive warehouse statements and restores return a warning first. They only run after you agree; a restore is confirmed in the portal.
One audit log
Every change from the portal, the API and the MCP server lands in the same log, with who did it.

Good questions

Can my AI assistant really manage my hosting?
Yes. veldhost runs a remote MCP server at https://manage.veldhost.eu/mcp. Add it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client, sign in with your veldhost account and choose what the connection may do. It can check health, read logs, deploy, edit DNS, run read-only queries and propose orders — and anything that costs money or cannot be undone waits for your approval.
Is there an API and a CLI as well?
Yes. Everything in the dashboard is also a documented REST API with scoped tokens and an OpenAPI spec, and the mpc command-line tool uses the same API. Your scripts, CI and agents all follow the same permissions and land in the same audit log.
Do I have to move my domain to you?
No — and you cannot, in the sense that we do not sell domains. Keep it at your registrar and point its DNS at us: the portal reads your current records, copies them across first, and tells you exactly which nameservers to enter where. Don’t have a domain yet? Buy one at any registrar and add it here in a couple of minutes.
I already have a website. Can you host it?
In most cases, yes. Every veldhost site has an importer: upload a backup, paste a download link or let it pull from your old host over SFTP, and the site lands on a preview address in minutes. Rather not do it yourself? Ask, and an engineer moves it for you, free.
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Any time, yourself, in a couple of clicks. Cancel during the free trial and you’re never charged. After that, cancelling stops the next renewal — no phone calls, no retention maze.
What happens when I outgrow my plan?
You move up in Manage, in the same account: a bigger plan, or a bigger warehouse on the plan you have (Warehouse M or L, extra disk). Nothing is migrated and nothing goes offline. Job time beyond your allowance is metered per second under a spend cap you set, and nothing above the cap is ever billed.

Today: WooCommerce, PrestaShop, WordPress, Ghost, Strapi, Directus, Static site, Nextcloud, Matomo, n8n, Umami, Laravel, Any PHP app, Any Node.js app, Next.js, Nuxt, SvelteKit, Astro, Astro (Node adapter), Express / Node API, Anything from git.
