MCP server · OAuth 2.1 · EU

Your AI assistant can run your hosting here.

veldhost ships a remote MCP server — the open standard Claude, ChatGPT and developer tools use to work with real systems. Connect your account once and ask your assistant to check health, read logs, deploy, fix DNS or query your data. Anything that costs money or cannot be undone waits for you.

MCP server URL
https://manage.veldhost.eu/mcp
One connection

Real operations, from a chat.

Sign in once through your normal veldhost login — passkeys included — and grant exactly the permissions you want. Revoke it any time under Security → Connected apps.

Diagnose

“Why is my site down?”

Your assistant checks live health, open incidents, recent deploys and the last log lines, then tells you what it found instead of asking you to paste errors.

Operate

The same buttons, in words.

Deploy from git, refresh staging, add cron jobs, run backups and edit DNS records on our EU nameservers — with the dashboard’s own rules.

Ask your data

“What sold last month?”

With the opt-in data scope it runs read-only SQL on your site databases and warehouse, and can build the pipeline or dashboard for you.

Connect

Set up in under a minute.

Leave authentication empty and your assistant sends you to the veldhost sign-in. Prefer a token? Create a personal one under API & MCP in Manage.

Claude

Web, desktop and mobile: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the URL. Claude walks you through the sign-in.

Claude Code
claude mcp add veldhost https://manage.veldhost.eu/mcp --transport http

ChatGPT & Codex

Until the directory listing is live: switch on Developer mode, add a plugin named veldhost with the URL, then sign in. ChatGPT sends ordering to the portal.

Codex CLI
codex mcp add veldhost --url https://manage.veldhost.eu/mcp

OpenCode

Add a remote server under mcp in opencode.json. OpenCode opens the veldhost sign-in by itself; opencode mcp auth veldhost starts it by hand.

opencode.json
{ "mcp": { "veldhost": { "type": "remote", "url": "https://manage.veldhost.eu/mcp", "enabled": true } } }

Cursor, VS Code & others

Any client that speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP. Cursor: ~/.cursor/mcp.json; VS Code: .vscode/mcp.json with "type": "http".

~/.cursor/mcp.json
{ "mcpServers": { "veldhost": { "url": "https://manage.veldhost.eu/mcp" } } }

Agents and your data

Ask your data a question. Get a dashboard back.

35 of the 92 tools work with your data: read-only SQL on your site databases, warehouses you load, pipelines, jobs and dashboards. Grant the opt-in data scope and your assistant answers from your real numbers.

“What sold best last month?”

The agent finds the database, writes a read-only query and shows you the rows.

“Keep that up to date.”

It turns the query into a pipeline on a schedule, inside your published limits and your spend cap.

“Put it on a dashboard.”

It builds the panels; your team opens them in Manage. Dropping data always asks you first.

Guardrails

Propose, never buy. Ask, never assume.

An assistant can propose an order — a new site, email, a plan change — but never buy: you approve it in Manage, signed in as yourself.

  • Paying, deleting a site or a domain, changing nameservers, creating tokens and changing the team stay in the portal.
  • Restoring a backup, enabling DNSSEC, dropping a warehouse database and approving a release always ask you first.
  • It can never do more than your own role allows, and every action lands in your audit log with the app that did it.
  • Open standards: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, dynamic client registration, and the same REST API your scripts use.
