Picked WooCommerce? Your site came with WordPress, WooCommerce and the Storefront theme installed and configured — no wizard to click through.
What gets installed
- WordPress (latest) with object caching, image tooling and real cron, exactly like our WordPress install.
- WooCommerce (latest stable) and the Storefront theme, activated.
- The Shop, Cart, Checkout and My account pages, and pretty permalinks so product URLs read
/product/your-item/. - EU-friendly defaults: currency EUR, prices entered and shown including VAT, comma as decimal separator, kilograms and centimetres, guest checkout on, WooCommerce usage tracking and marketplace suggestions off.
- No demo products — the catalogue is empty and yours.
First login
- Your site page in the portal shows the admin address (
/wp-admin/), the username and a generated password — we display it for 7 days, so save it now. - Log in, then go to Users → Profile and set your own password.
- Add your first product under Products → Add New, and a payment method under WooCommerce → Settings → Payments (Mollie, Stripe and PayPal have free plugins).
- Set your store address and tax rates under WooCommerce → Settings → General and Tax — we do not guess your country.
Updating
- WordPress applies its own security releases. Update WooCommerce, Storefront and plugins from Dashboard → Updates; when WooCommerce asks for a database update afterwards, run it.
- Before a big update press Back up now on the Files tab — restoring takes one click. Or rehearse it on a staging copy.
Limits
- The Starter plan (768 MB) runs a small shop comfortably; a large catalogue, many plugins or a page builder want Pro (2 GB).
- We keep the platform fast and patched; the plugins you add are yours to keep updated. Fewer is better.
