# Create an email address on your domain

> hello@yourdomain in two minutes.

Email on your own domain (like `hello@example.com`) makes every message you send look right.

## Before you start

Your site needs a [connected custom domain](https://veldhost.eu/docs/connect-your-domain) — email can't run on the free `.apps.veldhost.eu` address.

## Create it

1. **Email** in the menu → your site's domain. If email isn't on yet, choose how many mailboxes you want (€2/mailbox/month).
2. Type the name (the part before @) and a strong password → **Create**.
3. We publish the mail DNS records automatically — allow up to an hour on a fresh domain.

## Use it

Webmail works right away at the address shown there. To use your phone or Outlook, see [email on your phone](https://veldhost.eu/docs/email-on-your-phone). Each mailbox includes generous storage and spam filtering.
